This video was taken in August 2009 of the Pacific Ferry Kitakami arriving at Sendai New Port in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture Japan.
Sendai Port was damaged by the tsunami in the Great East Japan Earthquake, but this footage was taken before the disaster occurred.
At the time, there were no mobile phones capable of shooting high-quality video, but I shot the footage using Hitachi’s Mobile Hi-Vision CAM Wooo, the first camera to feature high-definition resolution.
