This video was taken near the mouth of the Nanakita River in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture Japan, while escaping from the massive tsunami caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake. I must say it was scary, but after the earthquake, I only have some memories of that day, and strangely enough, I don’t remember the sounds at all.
There was traffic everywhere around Sendai Port, so I was prepared to die until I happened to find this road, but this video was taken at 3:37pm, and given the terrain, I don’t think there was any other way to survive.
There are signs of a tsunami on the bridge piers, and white waves in some places, but the image quality is poor so it’s hard to tell.
