Shibata Fantasy Illumination 2020
This is a video of Shibata Fantasy Illumination 2020, an christmas lights event held at Funaoka Castle Ruins Park in Shibata town, Miyagi Prefecture Japan. Funaoka Castle Ruins Park, which is also known as a famous place for cherry blossoms, is a park where Funaoka Castle, also known as Shihodate, was located where Funaoka Heiwa Kannon was located.
When the NHK Taiga drama “Mominoki ha Nokotta” was broadcast in 1970, Funaoka Castle Ruins Park, which was the stage of the drama, became a focus of attention and became known as a tourist attraction.
The christmas lights event “Shibata Fantasy Illuminations” introduced in this video was held in front of JR Funaoka Station and Funaoka Castle Ruins Park under the name of “Shibata Pageant of Starlight” in the past. But now it seems to be done independently.
Not only are the entire park decorated with illuminations, but slope cars that pass through the corridor of light illuminated by colorful lights are also operated at any time. Around Funaoka Heiwa Kannon at the top, you can enjoy beautiful illuminations along with the $ 990,000 night view that Shibata Town is proud of.
It is not impossible to go to see the night view on foot, but you can not easily go to see it unless the slope car is operating at night during the illuminations and the light up of the cherry blossoms at night.
