The Michinoku Mori no Umi Park is home to a flower field covering approximately 30,000 square meters, where a total of 1.6 million beautiful poppies, the largest in the Tohoku region, are in full bloom, creating a beautiful floral landscape that makes you feel as if you are in a fairy tale land.
In addition, various events related to “supporting reconstruction, flowers, culture and music” were held, with the overall theme of “gratitude,” which is the meaning of the poppy flower.
