I had some leftover materials from making LED parts for my car, so I decided to dress up my homemade computer into a glowing one.
I scratched a clear acrylic rod, the kind used in optical fiber and Christmas trees, and used two LED bulbs to make the entire rod glow.
If you scratch it too much or too little, the light won’t reach the whole rod and some parts will not light up, so you need to be careful, but I think it glows pretty well.
Computers use 12V of electricity, so any car parts can be used for a PC.
However, parts that require a large current can cause forced shutdowns or hardware problems depending on the capacity of the ATX power supply, so be careful.
These parts were made 10 years ago, but there are now products that are made to glow all over, so if you want to use them, I recommend those.
