The Iwate Snow Festival, held from February 5th to 13th, 2011 at Koiwai Farm Makibaen in Shizukuishi Town, Iwate County, Iwate Prefecture Japan, is a representative winter event in Iwate Prefecture, where you can enjoy many large snow sculptures built on the premises and sledding down a huge slope.
In addition to fun events such as Kamakura Jingisukan, where you can dine on Jingisukan inside a snow igloo, and the Snow Train, there is also the Fantasy Fireworks, where beautiful fireworks are launched every night.
The Fantasy Fireworks are held every day during the event, but the fireworks on the final day are more spectacular than usual.
