First Air-Cooled Overclock of Intel Core i7 920 from 2.8 GHz to 3.5 GHz
I overclocked the Intel Core i7 920 CPU, which was installed in a homemade PC I made in 2009, from its rated speed to 3.5GHz.
The motherboard is an ASUS P6T Deluxe, and I used an air cooler to cool the CPU due to budget constraints, but I was afraid of overheating and couldn’t adjust the clock speed settings.
Since this time I have been using an Antec Nine Hundred PC case, which has good airflow and high expandability so I recommend it for people who build their own computers.
This first homemade PC was later submerged in water during the Great East Japan Earthquake.
