JAL×GHIBLI Boeing 787-8 Take off from Narita Int’l Airport
The JAL x Ghibli Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner Flying Project is a project to paint on the aircraft a design that was solicited in 2007-2008 with the theme Dream vehicles you want to ride and travel.
On the Aircraft are illustrations designed by Studio Ghibli director Hayao Miyazaki, followed by illustrations designed by the award-winning children.
The aircraft was scheduled to operate from October 14, 2012 to March 31, 2013. However, on January 7, 2013, all aircraft of the same type were suspended due to an accident ignited by the battery mounted on the Boeing 787.
JAL x Ghibli The project wrapping aircraft that flies in the sky will also be unable to fly for about half the time it was scheduled to operate, and will be terminated.
