Christmas Lights in Ashikaga Flower Park 2020 | Ashikaga, Tochigi Japan
This is a video of the illuminations Flower Fantasy 2020 to 2021 being held at Ashikaga Flower Park in Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture Japan, which has been selected as one of Japan’s three major illuminations and has been ranked number one in the Illuminations Awards for five consecutive years. In 2020, the 100,000 m2 garden will be decorated with more than 5 million LED lights, and there will be Flower Castle and Rainbow Magic, which were newly established from 2017 to 2018.
In addition to the Ofuji Illuminations “Hikari no Fuji no Hana Monogatari,” which was renewed in 2019, this year the light rose garden was fantastically produced with blue light up. Due to the popularity of the movie version of “Kimetsu no Yaiba”, Ashikaga Flower Park was also called the sacred place of Kimetsu, and I thought it would be crowded this year. However, it wasn’t so crowded. It is characteristic that there are different themes depending on the season, such as Christmas fantasy and the Co-starring between light and winter buttons. What I like the most is the collaboration of light and flowers, “Fusion of light and amethyst sage,” which you can see from the first day of the event to mid-November! Since the production will change during the exhibition period, I would like to visit many times if it is nearby, but the amethyst sage herd beautifully illuminated by the christmas light is very nice. I saw the first time the illumination of Ashikaga Flower Park is a around 2012, at that time had impressed in light bulb of 1.8 million bulbs. Eight years have passed since then, and now it has increased to 5 million bulbs, and even though I go there almost every year, I never get tired of visiting it, and I can experience new excitement. The ranking of the three major illuminations and illumination awards in Japan is determined by the number of votes obtained in the questionnaire for nightscape tourist which is supervised by the General Incorporated Association Nightscape Light Convention Bureau.
Ashikaga Flower Park was selected as one of Japan’s three major illuminations in 2017, along with Huis Ten Bosch’s Kingdom of Light in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture, and “Sapporo White Illuminations” in Sapporo City, Hokkaido. Speaking of the spectacular christmas lights show spots that impress you, it is definitely here. There is a souvenir shop and a flower shop, and the Tobu Line Ashikaga Flower Park Station is a 3-minute walk away, making it very easy to access, so anyone can easily enjoy the beautiful christmas lights show.
