This is a video of an Asiana Airlines Airbus A321-200 landing, which operates regular international flights between Sendai Airport and Incheon International Airport in South Korea.
In the past, airlines used to operate mid-size wide-body jets such as the Boeing 767-300, but as relations between Japan and South Korea deteriorated, the number of passengers decreased and aircraft gradually became smaller.
On the north side of Sendai Airport in Natori City, Miyagi Prefecture, there was Sendai Airport Park, which had athletic play equipment and an observation deck.
Every weekend, the park was bustling with children and aviation enthusiasts who came to take pictures of airplanes, but it was destroyed by the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011, and only the remains of the observation deck remained.
The surrounding area was developed as a disaster prevention measure after that, and the observation deck no longer exists, but this video shows a passenger plane landing from the observation deck before it was demolished.
