This video shows All Nippon Airways’ Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner JA801A making a surprise low pass over the runway as it returned from a sightseeing flight to support the reconstruction of Sendai Airport.
The B787 was carrying children from areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011, on a sightseeing flight over the Tohoku region.
Runway 27 was in operation, but after requesting a low approach of 09, JA801A passed over the runway at low altitude from the west.
The ANA Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, registration JA801A, has a special paint job with a blue base and white lines on the rear of the aircraft.
