If you’re a family with both partners working and often away from home, or if you’re busy and have a lot of business trips or travel, do you ever have trouble feeding your dogs, cats, or other pets?
You can always leave food out for the number of days, but cats, especially those that live at home, are unable to fully digest the nutrients they get from their food, so you need to avoid putting strain on their kidneys and bladder by setting fixed times for feeding and allowing time for the pH of their urine to stabilize.
Partly because I was often away from home, but my cat’s kidneys had deteriorated from leaving food out, so I bought the LUSMO Pet Food Auto Feeder, sold by Relenty, to keep him in good health.
It is cordless and runs on four AA batteries, and can automatically release food at set times up to three times a day.
However, some commercially available pet foods do not work well with LUSMO.
If anything, this is a problem that sometimes occurs with large pieces of bait, and they seem to get stuck inside the discharge area.
You may have to wait until your pet gets used to this, but for households where you are often away from home or those with pets who need to be kept in good health, this may be a very useful pet product.
