[4K UHD] Horinouchi Jugoya Fireworks Festival 2022 | Uonuma, Niigata Japan
This is a video recording of the large fireworks display held on September 17th of the Horinouchi Juugoya Festival held in Horinouchi, Uonuma City, Niigata Prefecture from September 16th to 18th, 2022.
The Horinouchi Juugoya Festival is an autumn festival held on August 15th of the lunar calendar at Hachimangu Shrine, the guardian shrine of Horinouchi.
This festival is said to be a Shinto ritual held as a thanksgiving festival for the harvest of crops.
This festival was first recorded in the 4th year of the Genroku era, and has a long history of being held at least 300 years ago.
In normal years, there will be dance floats, float music, large folk song dancing, and a portable shrine parade, but in 2022, some events will be canceled and the event will be held in a different form than usual.
On the evening of the second day, a large fireworks display was held at the venue of the Uono River, which flows through the town, where you can enjoy beautiful fireworks such as Niagara that colors the surface of the river in addition to the launch of Shakudama and Nisakudama (12 inch shell and 24 inch shell).
The fireworks were launched from 19:30 to 21:30 on September 17, 2022 for about 2 hours, but we have shortened it to about 54 minutes and uploaded it to YouTube.
