This is a video of the Atami Sea Fireworks Festival held at Atami Bay in Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture Japan on August 8, 2022.
In Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture Japan, which is known as a resort area centered on Atami Onsen, fireworks displays are held more than 15 times throughout the year on the coastline from Atami Sun Beach to Atami Port.
The fireworks were scheduled to start after 20:00, so I headed to the venue around 17:00, but the traffic around Atami Bay was terrible and the parking lot was almost full.
Therefore, I gave up on viewing near the venue and decided to view from the MOA Museum of Art, where the parking lot is open to the public free of charge on the day of the fireworks display.
I like watching fireworks up close, so I rarely watch fireworks from a distance.
However, the night view of the hot spring town of Atami Onsen, which is surrounded by mortar-shaped mountains, and the beautiful fireworks, and the sound of the fireworks echoing in the mountains were exceptional.
The MOA Museum of Art, where I saw the fireworks this time, is a museum representing Atami that boasts about 3,500 items, including 3 national treasures, 67 important cultural properties, and 46 important art objects, mainly paintings, calligraphy, and crafts of oriental art.
